Atlanta Apparel Heightens Attendee Experience at June Buying Event

 ATLANTA – May 11, 2023 – Atlanta Apparel is set to produce one of its most amenity-filled and experience-driven buying events this June, with a festival theme – “JuneFest” – augmenting popular Autumn/Winter sourcing categories, including young contemporary, accessories and game day. Atlanta Apparel runs Tuesday, June 6, through Friday, June 9, 2023, at AmericasMart Atlanta.

“Atlanta Apparel is combining the thrill of sourcing with the fun of festival season at our June apparel market,” said Caron Stover, International Market Centers (IMC) senior vice president, apparel. “With expanded amenities and events alongside top-of-the-line permanent showrooms and temporary exhibits, Atlanta Apparel will be the Southeast’s premier Summer sourcing destination.”

New and Expanded Showroom and Exhibit Resources

At its mid-year market, Atlanta Apparel will showcase 350+ permanent showrooms and 400+ temporary exhibitors presenting top general apparel brands and emphasizing three popular categories: young contemporary, accessories and game day.

Atlanta Apparel highlights include new, expanding and relocating showrooms for the June edition.  The Market welcomes two permanent showrooms – Brianna Cannon (accessories) and Felicite Apparel (contemporary) – and unveils two expanded showrooms – Reeves & Co. (contemporary) and Jennifer Powell Showroom(contemporary). Additionally, Anju (cash & carry accessories) and LTX Sportswear (cash & carry apparel) relocate to new showroom locations.

Other notable showrooms include: Ambrosia & Co. (contemporary); Barbour (contemporary men’s and women’s); Camel Threads (accessories and shoes); French Kande (accessories); Golden Stella(accessories); Hobo (handbags); Queen’s Designs (gifts and accessories); Seamless (contemporary); Shoe Frenzy (shoes); and Tryst (contemporary).

The June edition of Atlanta Apparel also will feature 400+ temporary exhibitors – 39 of which are new to market – on five floors of AmericasMart Building 3. Temporary exhibitors located on the first floor open on Tuesday, June 6 – one day prior to temporaries on other floors and concurrently with permanent showrooms – providing buyers with four full days to shop young contemporary, contemporary and cash & carry brands.

Newcomers to the temporary exhibits this June include: 33 Threads (activewear); Aster Raine (accessories);Easton Elle (accessories); ELJ Avenue (young contemporary); G-III Apparel Group (contemporary); Got to Have it Fashion (accessories); Hemincuff (accessories); Serabondy (accessories); and Vince Camuto(shoes).

Three categories – young contemporary, gameday and accessories – will have a strong presence this June.  Game day exhibitors include Lauren Kenzie LLC; Lisi Lerch; MIA Shoes; Pink Armadillos; and Stated Apparel. Accessories exhibitors include: All That Glitterz; Bara Boheme; Leetie Lovendale; Millie B Designs; and Pixie Mood. Young contemporary exhibitors include: BAILEY ROSE; Dress Forum; pretty garbage; and Sofie the Label.

“JuneFest” Showcases Expanded Events, Education and Amenities

This June, Atlanta Apparel has expanded its hallmark events, amenities and education in a three-day, festival-themed market experience called “JuneFest,” adding interactive giveaways, happy hours, trend installations and more to energize buyers more than ever before.

The fun begins with Atlanta Apparel’s hallmark daily activities and amenities: the morning cappuccino stationand grab-and-go breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday through Friday on Floor 1; and a live DJ daily upon arrival and during daily happy hours.  In partnership with the Boutique Hub, an electric “Concierge Car” will shuttle buyers between the AmericasMart campus and downtown hotels and restaurants. Get Pierced! with Bara Boheme, a sponsored ear-piercing activity runs Wednesday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Atrium; and the Oddi Specialty Bar Cart serves mixed drinks at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday on Floor 4.

Exclusive JuneFest activities start on Wednesday, June 7, with Build Your Own Bracelet in partnership with Little Words Project in the Atrium at 12 noon. From 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., buyers can fill a swag bag in the Atrium, an event presented in partnership with Brianna Cannon, Jen & Co., Shop Linny Co, America & Beyond, Leetie Lovendale, Caroline Hill, Mixologie and Lisi Lerch. That evening, the Atlanta Apparel Kickoff Party welcomes buyers to market at 6:00 p.m. in the Atrium, with specialty cocktails, giveaways, a designer handbag sweepstakes, amenities and a live DJ.

On Thursday, buyers can attend the Mid-Market Soiree, in partnership with Brenda Grands, at 12 noon in the Atrium. From 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Atlanta Apparel attendees are invited to the Pasties and Palomas event in the Atrium, sponsored by exhibitor Pasted Nip with a drink and product giveaway. Buyers can take part in an interactive giveaway, Customize Your Game Day Bag with ee:some, at 3:00 p.m. in the game day category lounge on Floor 4. From 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Atlanta Apparel presents Spiked Popsicles on Floor 8.

On Friday – the last day of the market – buyers can enjoy another day of complimentary coffee and breakfast, and relax with a frozen margarita at 1:00 p.m. on Floor 3.

Market education also will be presented at the June market, with a Sip & Learn Market Tips and Tricks event hosted by Market Expert Felicia Ruiz Loewy from Assembly Line, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Atrium. Daily new buyer orientation sessions – one in English led by Sarabeth Jackson, IMC Director of Buyer Services for apparel and a second in Spanish led by Alejandra Trombetta, IMC Apparel Senior Events Manager – will be offered at 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on all four days of June market.

Key Autumn/Winter ’23 trends will be showcased in three curated category lounge displays:  accessories (Floor 3), game day (Floor 4) and young contemporary (Floor 5). Trend displays showcasing accessories and game day attire also will be featured in the Floor 2 registration lobby.

Boutique Hub Expands Presence at Atlanta Apparel

The Boutique Hub, a multi-faceted digital media community, debuts its first-ever Atlanta market permanent showroom in June. The new space on Floor 9 will house educational events, activities and more, serving as an education and resource center for both buyers and exhibitors.

To celebrate the opening, the Boutique Hub will host nine in-showroom educational sessions and events during the June market. Highlights include: Build Your Own Arm Candy, Sponsored by My Girl in LA, OMG Blings, Taylor Shaye Designs and Nette Road Wholesale, and the Boutique Hub’s showroom grand opening party, Hubapalooza at 12:30 p.m., on Friday.

For the June market, showroom hours are 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, through Friday, June 9.  Temporary exhibits run 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 7, and Thursday, June 8; and 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9.  Floor 1 temporary exhibits open on Tuesday, June 6 – one day prior to temporaries on other floors – and run from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
